Ojochal de Osa

Ojochal gets its name from the Ojoche tree, called the perfect tree of life. The tree is beneficial for food and medicine from root to leaf. It is at the southern end of Costa Ballena which consists of three villages; Dominical known for its great surf, Uvita known for the National Ballena Park (Whale's Tail) and then our little village of Ojochal known for Playa Tortuga and its culinary excellence. Ojochal is a place where you feel like a local on your first visit. You often mix with full time residents as you dine and attend the many events.

El Sabor de Ojochal was formed to highlight the culinary excellence found in this village. You can check it out at elsabordeojochal.com.

With it's stunning mountains to the east and Garza Island punctuating the ocean view. It will not be long before you will be planning your next visit.
